In this video, I travelled to some of Chicago’s lesser known attractions in and around downtown. Unlike the regular Chicago tourist attractions which are often very crowded, these scenic places are good options for a peaceful weekend getaway.

This was my second weekend at Chicago and I enjoyed seeing places away from the Chicago city. The Bahai Temple in particular was an unexpectedly beautiful stop which I visited after hearing about from a local.

When visiting Chicago, make sure you dress for the weather if traveling during the colder months. Downtown Chicago does get rather chilly from the icy winds from Lake Michigan. Many people who travel to Chicago for the first time underestimate how things can get chilly even in spring.
