Little Grand Canyon in Shawnee National Forest is a beautiful, but difficult hike. The trail leads into a box canyon and through bottomland. Along the path you will see the effects of water and wind erosion have had on sandstone cliffs. Please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy exploring our parks and public lands!
The Little Grand Canyon Trail is about 3 miles long. There is rock scrambling in possibly slick areas of the canyon to complete the trail.
From the website: Difficulty rating of the trail is moderate to difficult, due to length, degree of slope and difficulty of terrain. Hikers should be aware that the trail segment in and out of the canyon is byway of a steep, wet rocky creek bed.
