Galena, Illinois is a unique touristy town in northwestern Illinois. Galena has a lot of history to its name, and has transitioned over the years to become a nice weekend getaway for many Chicagoland folks, and people elsewhere within a days drive. The older buildings throughout downtown feature architecture that you don’t see in other Midwest towns, and the up keep of the buildings throughout Galena have been top notch.
